For iPhone·Apple Watch·Widgets
see where
your life goes.
The screen-time app that never blocks an app and never deletes a day. See where your hours really go, app by app, year after year. Then take your time back. No blockers, no shame.
Coming soon to the App Store. You'll be the first to know.
the idea
You can't change what you can't see.
An hour here, an evening there. Screen time disappears the moment it's spent. finit keeps the record: every app, every day, kept for years. Suddenly you see the pattern. And what you see, you can change. No lockouts needed.
in the app
One honest record. Three ways to read it.
The record, week by week
Week, month, year, all-time: honest bars against your own average, and which apps took the most.
Fills itself every day. A day it couldn't measure stays blank, never guessed.
See what a decade of scrolling looks like
A lifetime projection for each of your top apps: at your current pace, against the average life expectancy where you live. When "two hours a day" reads as "years of your life", it stops feeling harmless.
Your life, in weeks
One square for each week of a life, drawn to your country's real life expectancy. The amber ones are already behind you. Pinch in, and find yourself in it.
A lifetime of attention deserves a lifetime of data.
and around it
The record follows you. Quietly.
On your wrist
Today as a ring, the week as plain bars, your life in weeks, glanceable on Apple Watch.
Home & lock screen
Up to a full life-in-weeks grid on your home screen. It moves one cell forward each week.
Sleep, work, commute
Your day is more than screen time: any area you name sits beside it in the day's donut, with its own hours and weekdays.
Sleep and movement
Add sleep and exercise from Apple Health, so the picture isn't only the screen.
Compare with friends
Invite friends and see how your weeks stack up. A little accountability goes a long way. You decide what they see.
Locked to you
An optional Face ID lock keeps your record private the moment you set the phone down.
what finit refuses
No limit screens. No lockouts.
No streaks to lose.
A perspective, not a limit.
Have we really reached the point where we can't be trusted with our own time? finit doesn't think so. It shows you where your attention actually goes, and trusts you with the answer. Our bet is that a longer memory gives you more to work with than another lock.
you are not the product
Private by design.
Your screen time is nobody's business but yours. It lives on your iPhone and syncs through your own private iCloud. No server of ours receives your app or day history.
- No ads, no trackers, no data sales. Nothing follows you across apps, and nothing about you is for sale.
- Nothing is shared unless you share it. Stats and friend comparisons go out only when you send them.
- Even this website tracks nothing. No cookies, no analytics, nothing loaded from a third party.
questions
Fair questions, straight answers.
Does finit block anything?
No, by design. finit never blocks an app, never locks you out, never makes you wait. It keeps the record and shows you what it adds up to. If you want a blocker too, finit works quietly alongside one: the blocker polices today, finit remembers everything.
Why not just block the apps?
Because you can always let yourself out. Every blocker ships an escape hatch: the emergency unlock, the extend-my-limit button, the Settings switch that ends the whole arrangement. It's your phone, and you hold the keys. The research reads the same way: blocking works while it runs, and fades when it stops. finit bets on the part that lasts: seeing, day after day, what the hours actually add up to.
What's the setup like?
About five minutes, once. finit walks you through a short guided setup, step by step. No technical skill needed. From then on, your record fills itself every day, even with the phone locked and offline.
Does finit drain my battery?
No. By design, there's nothing running that could. finit installs no VPN filter and runs no always-on monitor; nothing watches over your shoulder all day. Your record fills itself in one brief step a day. The rest of the time, the app is simply asleep.
What about the days before I installed finit?
Your first import reaches back and brings in the recent weeks your iPhone still remembers, so day one starts with a picture, not a blank page. From then on, no day goes missing.
How accurate are the numbers?
They're your iPhone's own count: the same per-app hours iOS keeps for itself, not a third-party approximation from timers or trackers. And finit never estimates: a day it couldn't measure stays blank instead of showing a guess. What you see is what actually happened.
Where does my data live?
On your iPhone, and in the private database of your own iCloud. No server of ours receives your per-app or per-day numbers. The one exception is Friends: if you use it, the weekly total you choose to share is stored, rounded to half an hour.
Will finit nag me?
No streaks, no guilt banners, no "you failed" screens. finit sends at most a few quiet notifications a week: a Monday recap with real numbers, and a warning if the import ever stalls. Each has its own off switch.
What do I need?
An iPhone on iOS 26 or later. The Apple Watch companion and the widgets come with it.
Why does finit exist?
Because we needed it first. finit began as a tool we built to see where our own hours went, and to spend more of them on things we would still be glad about in twenty years. Nobody looks back and misses the scrolling; what people miss is what it replaced. The longer story is on the why page.
Something else? The support page covers the details.
Life is short.
That's the point.
finit keeps every day, and shows you the one life those hours add up to.
